The two man project from Bielefeld/Germany “Exilanation” started to make music in 2001. With both members having their musical roots in the 90ies and not so much the pop 80ies. They were determined right from the beginning to create their very own electronic music style: A symbioses of traditional EBM, Trance elements and Future Pop. This combination of thriving beats and spherical melodies is worth being in every Electro DJs collection and a guaranteed floor filler. Exilanations personal slogan “EBM is not dead” has already lead them to first success: In 2003 they managed to place themselves Top 3 as the only band in both main categories (Readers Choice and Expert-Jury) at the “European Battle of the Bands” Competition held annually by the music magazine “Sonic Seducer”. Additionally Exilanation has done various remixes for different bands helping them to international chart access.
