This music has been a long time in coming. The seeds were planted in my childhood and nurtured by a handful of inspired teachers and mentors. Thank God for integrations and the bussing program. The roots of my soul found furtile soil in South Central Los Angeles, Home Sweet Home. I must acknowledge the journey as well as the destination. So here's to the process that life is. This collection of songs is the fruition of all attempts, great and small. The conversations and situations, collaborations and litigations. Here's to every partner, producer, player and project I've ever been involved with. Especially the ones that didn't quite go all the way. Each time, often unbeknownst to me, I came away with a valuable lesson learned and a new skill honed.
