Halifax, Canada based This Sound Will Save You blends unexpected electronic arrangements with epic pop adventures. Their music has been described as “a musical fruit smoothie bursting with analog synthesizers, a unique voice, buzzy guitars and computer based loops drenched in catchy melodies.” The band consists of vocalist/songwriter/keyboardist Chloe Jones, producer/multi-instrumentalist Matthew Fudge and live drummer Amber Jones. They offer something unique to the usual pop band or electronic DJ experience by blurring the lines between the two and creating something that is both interesting and dynamic. Inspired by early twentieth century artist Wassily Kandinsky, they adopted the name This Sound Will Save You as they believe in art’s ability to move people.

"A Place To Start" is an EP that consists of four songs: Sacrifice, The End of Pretending, Nowhere To Hide and Never Gave Up. This version of Sacrifice is sparser than the album version and is the one used to shoot their first music video. The End of Pretending is a collaboration between This Sound Will Save You and Mark Gane and Martha Johnson of Martha and the Muffins and "Echo Beach" fame. It has a spooky 60's spy movie theme feel to it. Nowhere To Hide is a one take live-off-the-floor version with thunderous drums. Never Gave Up sounds like an Avalon era Roxy Music ballad except with a female vocalist and is only available on this EP.
