Music, I believe, is the most profound of all the arts. Its ability to directly reach and touch our emotions, explore the deepest parts of our soul, and to reveal parts of it that we may not even know were there, is unmatched. We paired with the written word, music is enriched even further. It simultaneously takes on new meaning--feelings brought into focus by the meaning of words--while also amplifying the meaning and nuance of those words. To me, song is a particularly powerful medium of artistic expression, and it is the goal of my music to express the richness and vastness of English literature.
