The songs and recording of Something's On Fire were inspired by the gathering of family and friends into a unique location to share an incredible experience of making music. The feeling that permeates the tracks is reflective of person and place. The roots of both the writer and the recording itself are planted in northern BC. Although the North is no longer home for the writer there was a strong pull to return there and explore the genesis of many of the songs and apply that to the recording. The inclusion of intergenerational family members was the glue that brought the whole project together. A great listen from beginning to end.
