As a song writing team of two, Daniel Tietjen and Jamie Bumgarner (Poison tribute bandmates in Poison Overdose) created "Snow White" in 2008. They came together 6 years earlier at none other than a Poison concert in Kansas City, MO, where each found themselves in front row, enjoying the same type of music and sharing the same musical aspirations and desires. It wasn't long after meeting, the two were able to build that highly successfull relationship in a tribute band, but what's more is they found that their ability at creating great original music was almost effortless. Thus..."Snow White" was born. As the name implies, Snow White's genre is deeply rooted in the 80's, with influences from all the "white" bands, (Great White, Whitesnake, White Lion), but also those of Ratt, Warrent, Poison, LA Guns, and Cindarella, to name a few. Tietjen and Bumgarner carefully chose a name that would not only conjure up thoughts of these great bands but also remind us of that wonderful Grimm's fairy tail of yesteryear. Like Cindarella...Snow White led somewhat of a troubled life. Struck down in her prime by that terrible poison (which we like to call "grunge"), the only salvation would be that of a perfect antidote. Snow White's debut album "The Antidote," is just that cure and hopefully it will be the same for others who helplessly watched that 80's sound dissappear from our radios. Could it be that they share the same musical tastes? Could it be that both have a vast knowledge of music theory and knowledge? Could it be that they both have the same birthday? (Mar. 21) Who knows? All we know is, Tietjen and Bumgarner, together in Snow White, have a ton of songs to offer and can't wait to get them out there for everyone to enjoy.
