简介
Jas Mace and Marchitect, popularly known collectively as The 49ers, have teamed up with P-Vine Records to release their 5th album distributed nationally throughout record stores in Japan and on the internet worldwide. These two Delaware natives have been releasing jazzy influenced, Hip-Hip driven albums throughout Japan since 2007. The World Record will continue the tradition and stay true to the group’s reputation as conceptual lyricists with exceptional beat selection. Since The 49ers were first introduced to the Japanese scene five years ago they have tirelessly, and relentlessly, pushed their brand of music throughout the country by appearing on the first six volumes of the widely popular compilation series called In Ya Mellow Tone (not including two additional special edition versions), releasing four albums (including a collaboration album with ZDW!?), and guest featuring on over 25 nationally distributed albums. The song titled “Imagine” was featured on Re:plus’ album Everlasting Truth and topped the Japanese iTunes Hip-Hop charts as the #1 downloaded single for over three weeks. The 49ers have always had a knack for working with producers and other artists throughout the world. According to Jas Mace, “We called the album The World Record because it’s true to our mission of spreading quality, authentic Hip-Hop throughout the world. It also features producers and artists from Korea, Japan, France, United States, England, Taiwan,China Jamaica, New Zealand, Australia, and Poland – truly making this a world record.” The World Record features the platinum selling Hip-Hop legend Positive K, as well as popular Japanese Hip-Hop group Samurai Troops aka SMRYTRPS. A few of the producers featured on the album are Thomas Prime, Asiatic Orchestra, SoulChef, ZDW!?, and Blazo - among others. The album has a unique blend of concepts, turntablism, metaphors, live instruments, and foreign languages.
