Lyudmila Smolyakova is a Russian composer and poet who was trained in the Ukraine as a classical pianist. "If To Believe..." is her second CD which was recorded in the LIGA Studio in Moscow and offers the listener a variety of musical styles; ballads and bossa nova are sung in Russian, while her blues and jazz are sung in English. Ms. Smolyakova's songs are performed by the popular Russian vocalists: Svetlana Ternova, Pavel Sherbakov, Alina Filippova, Vitaliy Tuchin and Natalia Sizyh. Her lyrics are insightful and reflect the feelings of love, hope, happiness, nostalgia and sorrow that we all experience during the journey of life.
