After surviving the trauma of infertility and pregnancy loss, I have come to realize that there is no such thing as a finite grieving period. Grief swells and recedes like waves on a shore. The best that we can do is embrace the grieving pieces of ourselves such that they gradually integrate into our being. Through this continuous process, we are constantly creating new, more layered versions of ourselves. This record explores infertility and pregnancy loss at varying distances from the epicenter of the loss, navigating through the triumphs and pitfalls that accompany the process of integration. My hope is that whatever you grieve for, and wherever you are in that process, you can resonate with the story in these songs and sense the peace that time can wash over even the deepest pain.
