The world of hip hop has been blessed with many talented artists, and now we can all prepare for a new addition. Albert Devon Tatmon a.k.a. Oktayne is a hard working rapper on the rise and ready to take his talents to the next level. Coming from Northern California, Oktayne started rapping in 1999. Being influenced by artists such as LL Cool J, Fabolous, Cassidy, Lupe Fiasco, and the late Notorious B.I.G., it’s obvious that he takes his craft seriously and strives for lyrical greatness.

After years of preparing his musical career, he released his first project, Self-Explanations in 2008. That project displayed his abilities and talent, but he knew that he had more to do. A year later, he released Self-Explanatory Vol. 1, another display of his lyrical abilities. Keeping the momentum going, in March of 2010 he released Tell ‘Em I’m On 1, and then a few months later in November he dropped Tell ‘Em I’m On 2. Oktayne knows the importance of staying relevant, so he then released Mindgames in January 2011 to stay on top of his game.

Oktayne strives to project realism in his music. He wants to maintain his own identity, while giving the world a taste of his life through his body of work. He is inspired by his environment, and is determined to just be HIMSELF. To keep things moving, he will release Red Carpet Lady in April 2011, and then Feature Presentation in July 2011. In the future, Oktayne plans to continue to bless the world with his music, and work diligently to solidify his place in this industry.
