After meeting at Twin Town Guitars in Minneapolis, Ashley Daniels, Megan Peterson, Matt Peterson and Brian Lambert quickly formed the band The Hell And The Quiet. Matt later stepped down to be replaced by his father Andy Peterson on drums. After playing several local shows with a mixture of covers and a few originals, the band was invited to play at The Key Bar in Austin, Texas during SXSW in 2015. The members got serious about writing and put together a full set of original material. As a result they also set out to create their debut EP. With the help of Steve Sutherland (tracking), Jason McDaniel (mixing), Bruce Templeton (mastering) The Hell And The Quiet crafted the first of many releases to come. Stylistically The Hell And The Quiet draw inspiration from a diverse group of bands ranging from The Black Keys, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Brandi Carlile, The Sheep Dogs, The breeders and Queens Of The Stone Age to name a few.
