In 1948 was created the Berlin's police band with Heinz Winkel as conductor. Heinz Winkel died in 1962. Between 1948 and 1962 the "Musikkorps der Schutzpolizei Berlin" recorded a wide selection of traditional military marches and songs in the pure old prussian style. This band has remained a true legend and you have now the possibility to listen to this music as the Berlin people enjoyed it in the sad years which followed the end of the war.
