"Distance" is the first album of original material in the gypsy jazz style from Jon Delaney. Hard swinging tunes, ballads, and a good dose of spirited improvisation play off one another in an homage to the Sinti Gypsy musicians that inspired the album. The title, "Distance", refers to the experience of musicians living far from the European heart of this music, and how they find ways to become connected to it's traditions and spirit.
