简介

A fearless, edgy yet beautiful adventure spanning jazz, folk, brazillian, rock and other grooves in a cinematic fantasy. Chris Ho at the pen and all keyboards, Rick Zunigar on most of the guitar tracks and Charles Small from Barbara Morrison guitaring on on Canadian Club, Josephinas, Rolling Hills and Two Dollar Bills. David Red Renick on all drums, Dr Matt on all Basses. Many of the titles are taken from past names of venues in the Los Angeles area where original bands could get a gig. Architechtonic, title track, takes off as a blue notey jazz rocket. Guest guitarist Rick Zunigar co pilots the expedition with confidence and authority. David Renick on drums, Dr Matt on bass are also fearless in their respective grooves. This is the first time the band has seen or heard any of the tunes by the way.... Canadian Club medium tempo slightly hip hop smooth jazz with guest Charles Small on guitar here. Melodic, easy listening, cool and bluesy, romantic and just nice. Chris Ho on synth solo, of course. Comeback inn Named after a great club where original and jazz artists could play out in the world. I heard Zunigar there many times as well as Patrice Rushen, Billy Childs, Arco Iris and many others. This track is uptempo, melodic, bluesy and hard swinging. That's David Renick on the first solo on drums, then Chris Ho at the piano. Rick Zunigar takes the next one. Eclectic Cafe Also named after an actual venue that featured live jazz or original music. Medium latin fusion piece again with Zunigar on guitar. Cool, rich, melodic, adventurous and fun for all. Family Law is an uptempo rocker... not a pretty tune but a hard one...inspired by a long drawn out divorce the tune is dark, mean and unpredictable. Hard synth solos and a rare moment for Rick Z to play a rock fusion guitar track. Hennessey's Named after a tavern that had live jazz at least 2 times a week back in the day. Uptempo latin with Rick Z on guitar, and the usual suspects in the rhythm section. Josephinas used to be right on Ventura Blvd, Studio City, CA , and had great food and bands every night. Many a player got discovered for a tour or recording session back then! Anyway the tune is a tasty smooth pop folk country bluesy cowboy with Charles Small from the Barbara Morrison Band on guitar. Simple, earthy, romantic and feel good. Odyssey Dr Matt has told me you got to have a shuffle, man!! So here we go with Rick Z on guitar and CH leading the melodies on synths. Rockin fusion fun... Rolling Hills Starts off gently with a solo piano impression then gets right down to a solid groove in to a folk pop rock hip country hang. Charles Small was a great call here. Two Dollar Bills in Hollywood on Gower had good food but great bands nightly. Chris Ho played there with his own original bands and with Steve Vai and Guy Shiffman in the Out Band. Two Dollar Bills, the tune, is a light happy island fusion piece. Charles Small on guitar pickin and scratchin and that's Dr Matt on the bass solo near the end! Always lyrical and soulful, MMVBS puts it all out there whether doing chinese medicine or playing music! All of the tracks were recorded live engineered by Darin McLemore and Chris Ho on Pro Tools Hd. Most all of the artwork for album covers come from acrylic on canvas paintings done by Chris Ho and or sons. Elliot Ho , 3 years old, copainted the cover for this one.
