简介
Jonathan Andrews achieved a career milestone with his new release "Overcoming Gravity." "I wanted to put down what I was hearing in my head and this album is about as close to that as I could get without a major record label production." Overcoming Gravity takes you on a ride from start to finish. Refreshing and unique in it's ability to go from an in-your-face rock song like "Can't Put Me Down" to the simple ballad "What Love Is" - it's an album filled with a variety pack of flavors sure to hit home with any listener. The Nashville Scene writes: "Brimming with strong melodies, smart arrangements and great vocal harmonies, 'Overcoming Gravity' is pure power pop" Jonathan Andrews is a native of Shreveport, Louisiana. He grew up singing in church and later burst into the local music scene of his bluesy hometown and neighboring cities touring in the five member rock band Gladstone. In under a year Gladstone had developed a substantial following and decided to make a record. Gladstone, with the help of local producer Glen Graves, produced their first and only album in 1996. After two years of touring and promoting the album, Jonathan felt drawn to Nashville where he would take his writing and performing to a new level. In 1998 Jonathan was accepted into Belmont University's prestigious school of commercial music. He graduated with a Commercial Vocal music degree and has been living and learning in Nashville ever since. His songs come from the heart and sooth the soul. "I write what sounds good to me with the hope that someone else will think the same." Now two bands later, and well into his solo career, Jonathan Andrews insists on what he calls artistic integrity. "Being true to who you are and who God created you to be is the most important thing you can do on this earth." Visit www.jonathanandrews.net for upcoming tour dates and events!
