简介
Hemlock Smith is a well renowned musical collective from Lausanne, Switzerland. Formed around singer/songwriter Michael Frei, their music and collaborators evolve and change for each project. Their second film music (after the critically acclaimed "Sir Arne's Treasure" from 2008) is an adaptation of Jacques Feyder's "Visages d'Enfants" (Faces of Children) shot in Switzerland in 1923. The tragic loss of a mother as told in the perspective of a young boy is blended into 20 Pocket symphonies by the band, mixing songs and instrumentals, jazz, pop, folk and rock into a distinctive and respectful musical statement.
