简介
Phil Duffy: Button Accordion – Phil began playing accordion at the age of 14 in County Cavan, Ireland. He has delighted and amazed audiences for almost 50 years. Phil is one of the originators of live Irish music in Tulsa. He is the anchor of many Irish sessions and was a member of Ceoltoiri Tulsa with fellow band member Mike Roohan. Frank Smreker: Vocals, 12-String and Classical Guitar, Harmonica – Frank started playing guitar in third grade and developed a love of folk music. His interest in the history and stories captured in Irish songs, inspired him to join the sessions out of which Cairde na Gael emerged. Kelly Lamb: Vocals, Tambourine – Kelly began studying piano and voice as a child. Her siren songs enchant audiences and band members alike calling all those who hear to share her love of Irish music and culture. Mike Roohan: Vocals, Bodhran – A lifelong musician, Mike’s smooth tenor and lively personality make him a natural for Irish music. Band members often joke that Frank sings the fightin’ songs and Mike sings the drinkin’ songs. Tony Clyde: Fiddle – Tony studied music and violin from an early age. His love of Irish music led him from the violin to the fiddle. What’s the difference? According to Tony, “a violin sings, a fiddle dances.” Gene Curtis: Mandolin, Guitar – Gene played guitar for many years but hadn’t found his true musical calling until he joined Cairde na Gael. Having picked up the mandolin, he now combs garage sales in search of obscure Irish instruments to feed his instrumental obsession.
