The mood shifts in the second song, “Fly,” to a folk-inspired reflection of the late ‘60s, backed up by choral work that gives 21st century listeners a tour of The Fifth Dimension. Coming from the point of view of a caterpillar waiting and yearning to change into a butterfly, the song is really about a child wanting to change and grow bigger.
