SHAKALAKA Piper and Briss , the creative force behind the musical collaboration "Shakalaka" met in L.A , summer 2002 . Originally from kingston Jamaica , Piper migrated with his family to the UK when he was 10 . At the age of sixteen Piper was already a popular figure " Toasting " at many sound systems on the London Club scene . Piper is The true " ORIGINAL TOASTER " no contest ! Briss born in Paris , France "world beat capital" Started his musical career playing and recording percussions and bass for different afro jazz funk or multi ethnic projects in Paris . After touring in America for a few years , Briss started producing and writing for artists in Los Angeles , CA . Briss's strong taste for polyrhythm with heavy percussions and bass oriented grooves makes him a perfect match for Piper's uncompromising Talent . SAFE AND MASSIVE ----------------- The first Shakalaka release is a perfect blend of Piper's and Briss's Musical influences . Coming from all african roots and conscious lyrics .
