简介
Aloha from Hawaii! "Tunes With Love" features 10 original songs that came straight from my heart. In 2007 it was rock album of the year in the 10th annual Hawaii Music Awards. "Tunes With Love" was available previously only as a tape cassette, but I had it reengineered and remanufactured as a CD, with brand new cover art by graphic arts genius Kevin Hand. The detailed liner notes are the same as before, except for a brief postcript acknowledging the passage of time. The songs include my signature "Coffee Maker Blues," my power ballad "Every Day," the super sweet "Door Wide Open" (dedicated to young parents who can't wait to get their privacy back), and my tribute to camping at Malaekahana on Oahu's North Shore, "Countryside." I wrote, sang and played bass on all of the songs except "Scarin' Me," which features Sean Thibadeaux on bass. Others helping me included: * Dale "Megawatt" Machado, guitar * Craig Anderson, drums * My brother Kevin "Mojokane" Coleman, harmonica * My son Kekela Coleman, guitar * Kimo King, guitar * Mark Prados, harmonica * Charley Myers, slide guitar * Kim Dewey, background vocals Incredibly, Craig and Kimo are no longer with us. But I'm honored that some of their earthly energies were captured and live on in this recording. "Tunes With Loves" follows my CD from 2003, "Outside the Circle" (also available through CD Baby) and the 1998 CD "Monday Night Live!" with my band Potato Cannon. Both were nominated for Na Hoku Hanohano awards in the rock category, while "Outside the Circle" won best country album of the year in the Music Foundation of Hawaii awards. Aloha from Hawaii, Mark Coleman BTW, that's me playing harmonica and whistling on "Door Wide Open."
