As one of the pioneers in Latin-Indian fusion music genre, this is Giju John's first all-spanish album and he has chosen one of his favorite music styles for it - Bachata. By featuring the Indian instrument Santur, in place of the traditional lead guitar, along with his signature singing style influenced by Indian classical music training, Giju is introducing a unique and soulful fusion genre - Bachata Indu.

Bachata Indu is co-produced by the Grammy winning Producer and gifted Pianist, Christian Tumalan. This is the first collaboration between Giju and Christian and they have found a beautiful balance b/w the traditional Bachata instrumentation and Santur. The melodies, composed by Giju, have a dreamy-romantic, yet upbeat feel to them.

Giju's words on Bachata Indu - "As an enthusiast of Indian and Latin music styles, my intention with this fusion genre was to celebrate the differences among these two rich and vibrant cultures and create a sound that's unique and soulful. And this, i believe, is the true essence of fusion music that transcends language barriers."
