His diverse studies have included training with renowned World Music Composer Lou Harrison, Latin Percussionist Michael Strunk, Jazz Trumpeter/Arranger Ray Brown and Mandolin Master David Grisman. Dayan has engineered and produced three solo albums, "Songs of Sunday," "Dayan Kai" and "The First 12 Years," as well as two albums with his former band Water, "Scrape the Sun" and "Look Out the Window."
