Taras 3000 is the solo project of composer and musician, Dmitri Ustinov. His début of not-for-dance album strongly titled MISTAKES. Love, journey, youth, faults, randomne, sexuality, affection, chances, do's and don'ts, rules and sounds - it all came together in a relaxed, laidback album. It's texture owed much to a journey experienced by the eyes and ears of Taras 3000, capturing his memories, mistakes, travels, tributes, and exquisite musical depictions. Lasting almost sixty-nine minutes, it is obviously not sexy pop or even electro dance in any usual sense. Its construction, although loose, depended on a small number of interrelated themes developed along vaguely classical lines. Taras 3000's focus is on the idea of personal dance music. MISTAKES, is an attempt to combine elements of dance music, techno, funk, folk and downtempo with loop-based production, and electronic atmospherics. No matter to which genre any MISTAKES track belongs, it surely will find its place in your playlist.
