简介
F I G H T C L U B Duncan Harding was a practising medical doctor with a taste for making dark, twisted pop music. The resultant combination is 'Fightclub', a musical soundtrack to everything that is weird and wonderful in the World. Fightclub's sound and influences are wide ranging , drawing from elements of Rock, Hip Hop and Electronic music. The result of this musical stew is somewhere between Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, Beck and T.Rex. Duncan subsequently recruited the services of bass playing belly dancing actress Ione whose solid playing and awesome stage presence act as the perfect on-stage foil. In a strange coincidence another doctor, Rebecca, joined the band on keyboards. An eye surgeon with a classical music background in piano and voice. Rebecca Ford brings beauty and subtlety to the Fightclub sound which juxtaposes perfectly with the band's heavyily aggressive signature. A seasoned drummer with various bands and deals behind him, Mike Grocott is the latest addition to the fold. Mike's extensive live touring experience and great skills have brought power and solidity to the band. Mikeâs edgy and explosive style, along with his use of electronics and triggers, are proving to complement and enhance the Fightclub sound. Fightclub have been recording recently for their debut EP, a three track affair which looks set to introduce them into the public eye. The band's cover of the classic house track, 'You Got The Love' is set to be a legendary reinterpretation. Teamed with live favourite 'Insane' and the fat electronic stomp of ' I Might Forget' the EP is a pretty impressive calling card. Music industry types are already taking interest in the band and another Fightclub track, 'Save Me' has been used on the end titles to a forthcoming Dennis Hopper and Asia Argento movie, 'The Keeper'. Recently Duncan has been writing songs with ex-Skunk Anansie guitarist 'Ace', who accidentally stumbled across some early demos and was keen to meet Duncan. The duo have now been writing together for some time with some very exciting results..watch this space!
