"Hiling", a song about a person's yearning to be with the one he loves and the promise of his unwavering love no matter how far the distance. Written by the artist based on his own experience coupled with the experiences of those around him. Emman, a former PDA ( Pinoy Dream Academy - a TV show in the Philippines ) Scholar, always has this muted hesitancy within himself, whose music has been influenced greatly by Eddie Vedder, Billy Corgan, Layne Stanley and Rob Thomas to move from his usual Rock & Roll, Alternative way of writing to a more plaintive style in his compositions. 15 years of songwriting has opened opportunities for Emman to write songs for various artists, his way of expressing his love for music. Being heard and having the chance to share his songwriting talent is what motivates him to continue writing beautiful songs. As a former lead vocalist of his band Kwatro Kwantos, Emman also wrote their single, “Waiting List” which dominated the charts for 5 consecutive weeks in all radio stations in Iloilo. Fresh from his stint with PDA, Emman wrote the now famous song “Hiling”, also the carrier single of Jake Zyrus’. He also wrote a number of other songs interpreted by artists such as Yeng Constantino and Jay – R Siaboc such as If you go, Minsan Lang, Lisan and Magkayakap. Not only a songwriter but Emman also has a smoky and silvery voice that blends perfectly with the wave - like ebb and flow of the piano and lyrical sound of a smoky guitar. These point out to the true essence of an artist’s soul.
