Label is the music of Jim Cass. Songs in 4/4 was recorded over a 10 month period at Studio Lodo in Denver with engineer Jaromy Russo. It captures the diverse subject matter that Jim wants to cover with his lyrics. Likewise, the musical genres present on Songs in 4/4 are varied, including Rock, Jazz, and Raggae. While Songs in 4/4 is a unique sounding album it also is reminiscent of early Beck and Ween albums.
