Full Circle is really a compilation of Patrick's exploration of blues-oriented music over the years, and is composed of both original, traditional & cover songs. The cast of musicians that helped bring these recordings to life are outlined below. Patrick's main introduction to the blues occurred while he was in college, and it became the genre that took his playing beyond simply strumming chords. The fingerpicking styles of American blues musicians of old caught Patrick's ear, and he became especially adept at what some may describe as "Country Blues" or "Piedmont Blues". Artists like Mississippi John Hurt, Doc Watson, and Etta Baker, among others, all lent their influence upon his playing. Musicians like T-Bone Walker & B.B. King must also be mentioned, after all Full Circle is an electric blues album in a band format. Full Circle lies somewhere between acoustic and electric, reflects that wonderful time period around the 1950s where an acoustic guitar was traded for a hollowbody electric. It's influenced by the mixing of genres that occurred then, especially blues, country, jazz, and western swing. 1.
