Bob Started out fronting a rock band in England known as 'Bobby Sansom & The Giants'. He won a major television talent contest as a solo singer, the prize being resident singer on several network T.V. Shows, including 'THE LUNCHTIME SHOW', with actor singer Jim Dale which aired three afternoons a week, and on which he sang two songs a show as well as helping out in the comedy sketches. This program ran for eight thirteen week series. At the same time he was co-hosting a late night program on Sundays called 'SONGS I'D WISH I'D WRITTEN', which ran for ten thirteen week series, and a jazz program called 'STRICTLY FOR THE BIRDS', which featured the 'Dudley Moore Trio', and a celebrity guest each week, these included Victor Feldman, Johnny Dankworth and Cleo Lane. This program also ran for ten thirteen week series. At about this stage Bob started his recording career, and released eight records in England, one of which was a cover of the Beatles hit 'THERE'S A PLACE', and got to #4 in the English hit charts. Many of these songs are still being played in the latest craze of 'Northern Soul' dance clubs all across England. He did several tours of England and Europe, which included a month at the famous 'CAVERN CLUB' in Liverpool, and the 'STAR CLUB' in Hamburg. Bob was offered a chance to come to Los Angeles and record, so he did, and formed a group called 'BOBBY SANSOM & THE MAUS MARKS'. He continued his recording career with Ernie Freeman, a very successful producer-arranger of such artists as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. And Petula Clark. Bob and his band performed in all the major clubs in Hollywood and L.A. Such as 'Whiskey-A-Go-Go' and 'P.J.'s. And released serveral records. One of them 'Don't Leave' that got to #2 in the San Francisco hit charts, and also did well in L.A. Soon after Bob was a offered a chance to go solo, and released serveral records which led to his being offered a chance to emcee and be featured in a revue in Las Vegas called 'THE FUNKY SOUL REVUE' at the Aladdin Hotel, which ran for three months. PRESENT DAY Now Bob runs a DJ & Entertainment Service with his wife Julie in Orange County, California called 'American Mobile Music DJ & Entertainment Service'. Weddings are 99% of their work, but also play for any type of event. Bob is now a 'Vocal Tribute Artist', which he incorporates while DJ-ing, sounding like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Neil Diamond, Elvis, Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett, Barry White ............ and many more.
