Kim Williams, now living in Sierra Vista, Arizona says the album is designed as a means of comfort for the nation still coping with the aftermath of 9/11 four years ago and reeling emotionally from the devastation and death caused by Hurricane Katrina along the Gulf Coast. The title track, "My Brother," was penned by Kim Williams nearly two weeks after his brother, Army Major Dwayne Williams, perished when a hijacked plane crashed into the Pentagon where he had just started working three months before on Sept. 11, 2001. The words reflect on happy moments Kim shared with Dwayne and his twin brothers, Roy and Troy, while growing up with their parents in a small Alabama town. The inspiring lyrics, sung by Kim as he plays a soothing keyboard background, are designed as a way for those who lost loved ones on 9/11, in the hurricane or in other ways to recall fond memories and reflect on the legacy they left behind. The CD includes 9 original ballads and R&B songs, all written, arranged and composed by the artist. A Spanish version of "My Brother," will be released in the spring of 2006. Kim Williams CD tribute to his brother Dwayne is being released two years after a book tribute that his brother, Roy, wrote in honor of their slain sibling. Roy Williams' book, "911, God Help Us - A Journalist's Tale of Faith" (AuthorHouse, September 2003) contains a chapter about Kim Williams' CD tribute to their brother.Their mother, Pearl Williams, wrote a children's book, "A Hero Called Fish", in tribute to her son Dwayne in December 2003. Dwayne's childhood nickname was Fish. The two brothers and their mother are believed to be the only siblings and parent of a 9/11 terrorist victim who have written both a song and book in tribute to one of the fallen heroes of that day. A 20-year military veteran who retired in early 2002, Kim Williams album tribute is specifically dedicated to his brother's sacrifice and those of the other 3,200 Americans killed in the Sept. 11th terror attacks. A gifted singer and songwriter since childhood, the artist added several other slow tunes designed to soothe the soul and fast tracks designed to entice listeners to dance and enjoy life. His aim is to show the terrorists despite the 9/11 attack failed in their quest to destroy the fabric of love and peace that define the United States. "My Brother" will showcase to listeners across the world that America's faith in God, country and our fellow man remains as strong today as it did prior to 9/11. Noncacophony Records producer, Neil Lindsay of Noncacophony Records-BMI in Sierra Vista, Arizona, is in charge of production and mastering of the CD. Kim Williams is one of many new artists preparing to hit the music scene under the independent label. His CD will be featured on the website www.fkimwilliams.com under Noncacophony Records. An article about Williams' penning of a song in memory of his brother was written by 11th Signal Brigade Public Affairs Staff Sergeant Tim Volkert a few weeks after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attack.
