The song came to life when I was going through a rough patch and decided to hibernate from hanging out for a bit. Turns out that move kinda blew up in my face—some of my so-called friends felt pretty burned and even started gossiping about me, calling me selfish. While I was writing those lyrics, I was deep in my feelings, wrestling with my own stuff, just craving some alone time to sort through the mess.
