It was rocking/contemporary jam reminiscent of vintage Steely Dan and featured a scorching solo from [Justo] Almario as well. ------ TROELS SKOVGAARD By Kim Heibon (producer for the Danish national broadcast) Having established himself as a long-time renowned session guitarist and arranger, Troels Skovgaard now solo debuts with the self-named album: "Troels Skovgaard" Twelve self-penned songs pays homage to Troels' musical upbringing, elegantly combining beatles-esque melodilines and raw, bluesy westcoast feeling. The fierce and strong vocals are supplied by Troels himself. Some of the English lyrics are written with old-time collaborators Henning Olsen and Niels Mosumgaard. Being married to Italian Elisabetta Bosetti, the helping hand of writing the loving Italian poetry of "Tempo Sprecato" and "Quest'estate", wasn't far away - obviously. Still working on mastering Italian in writing, Troels already rolls his tongue fluently around the language. The rumour of Troels abilities as a guitarist, composer and arranger has travelled the music world for years. Heavily jet-lacked, he landed in Copenhagen late December 2002 after having played a string of gigs in the U.S. L.A.
