Jvne is a post-rock band that was formed in 2010 in Mexico City by piano players and composers Anu Lopez and Christian Balderas. After some months, Alonso Lopez and Erubiel Rangel joined in bass and drums. Recently, singer and producer Luis Marcol started to collaborate with the band as lead singer and guitar player. At the end of 2011, they recorded their first record, a 5 song EP called COMETS. They did it in a completely independent way. Jvne have been playing their music since the beginning of 2012 doing it at some of the most representative indie music venues in Mexico City and some other states inside the country. During this period of time they reached some important achievements such as being featured and streamed by music franchise Festival Vive Latino and several recognitions by media such as main indie music Radio station Ibero 90.9 FM, several Internet blogs, printed magazines (Indie Rocks!) and online music stations inside and outside Mexico. At the end of 2012 the band started to come up with new artistic and creative ideas, so a new composition period started. This time, Jvne enhanced the level of their composition including a wider instrumentation that would involve more orchestral arrangements on charge of Anu and Christian. Some months later, they started the recording of their debut album Rising, which will be released in the last trimester of 2014. Since then, they kept doing gigs, however they've been mainly focused on this production that nowadays has reached around 2 years and a half of recordings, live sessions, art design, photography and other actions involved. In 2014, Jvne had the opportunity to record an alternate version of a track of Rising with Gordon Raphael, who was the producer of Is This It and Room On Fire by The Strokes and Soviet Kitsch by Regina Spektor.
