The unique musical group Pink Bead has remarkably changed the local music scene in the western Washington area since their creation in 2009. Hailing from the economically and cultural diverse city of Tacoma Washington, these young musicians have cultivated their unique sound of urban hip hop, metal screams, dubstep and pop to amaze all that stand before them. The idea of creating a band such as Pink Bead came to the Washington natives much like any other performing artist that has come before them; a desire to create something new and exciting and to have as much fun doing it as possible. In the beginning it was only for fun, a joke to some. That was until a few of the earliest recordings of Pink Bead were released such as “Its Macnaughtons Bro!” and “Illgauskus” the stage was set. The local response to this new and remarkable sound was catastrophicly positive. The bands Myspace started to receive bundles of adds and requests, among numerous inquiries of a live performance. This drove the four members to really take a look at what they had created and hit the studio in early 2010 to record their first independently released EP “Swagger Town City Council.” After the very successful release of their album, the Pink Bead boys hit the local music scene with full force and something to prove. Within the first year of solid promotion and a very positive local response Pink Bead was playing alongside such national acts as BrokenCYDE, Jeffree Star, The Millionaires, Blood on the Dancefloor, Andre Nickatina, Mista Fab, Dirt Nasty, Mickey Avalon,and the It Boys, just to name a few. Notable Seattle venues and club promoters are biting at the bit to book Pink Bead because of the strong fallowing and the large draw that the boys have at every show, and the buzz of anticipation is only growing. Staying extraordinarily positive and working harder than most artist in their genre of music is one of many things Pink Bead does differently. Preparing for the road ahead and overcoming obstacles is their daily drive and it seems that these boys have a lot to look forward to.
