Shakia Chanel

..Born on September 29th to a family of police sketch artists, Shakia is the only one in her family who was blessed with the gift of music-which she pursued early, writing lyrics at a young age. Chanel is a multi-instrumentalist, a self-taught musician and songwriter. In the past two years alone, she has blossomed from being an introverted bedroom performer to making a local name for herself in the city of Atlanta, where she resides. She has performed at events ranging from Atlanta's Sweet Auburn Festival to claiming the stage at Six Flags over Georgia. She was also a finalist in radio personality, Rene miller's "Atlanta's Next Best" competition. Her young son along with many of her personal life experiences are the biggest inspirations to her music. Shakia Chanel is working on her first album.
