This CD is a testimony. Revelation 19:10 says that the spirit of prophesy is the testimony of Jesus. This CD is a testimony of Jesus, and I hope it will be a prophecy, too: that it will encourage, exhort, and comfort you, and that it will bring glory to Jesus. Redemption is both a moment and a process; I wanted to capture that idea on this album. The earlier songs of the album provide an honest look into a soul searching for meaning and depth, unsatisfied with trite answers. Singing out questions that many fear to consider, Redemption provides a safe place to ponder, grieve, dance, hope, or, simply to be. The album is a Swiss-army knife of sorts, an amalgamation of tools, perspectives, and personalities. This is displayed in the wide variation of styles put forth on the 12-song album. The plethora of styles and sounds speaks to the search for identity that the album is all about. Journey with me into the heart of redemption.
