15 year-old Annika Horne is an award winning singer and actress. She recently received the Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Television Series in a Guest Starring Role for her work on the ABC Studios/Lifetime Network show Army Wives. She is deeply honored that the song Little Solider, which she recorded in Nashville with Grammy-winning producer Jeff Huskins, is included on the soundtrack to the upcoming film The Hornet's Nest. Her album is set for release later this year. She is perhaps most proud of the fact that her Ingénue series of benefit concerts has raised over $200,000 and led to the creation of the Ingenue Music is Medicine Creative Space for Kids at the University of Texas Southwestern Children's Hospital. She recently finished final vocals in Nashville for her first album of original material including the song Little Soldier. The Hornet's Nest focuses on the American heroes fighting the war in Afghanistan with unprecedented actual footage from the conflict. The film is receiving great reviews in pre-screenings and will be released nationally in February. This autumn, in support of the film, she is opening several performances with Wynona Judd and Gary Sinise and the Lieutenant Dan Band. Annika spent her early years in South Carolina and moved to Texas in 4th grade.
