Manny has been in music since the early age of 7. His roots are grounded by his uncle, the patriarch of Bomba and Plena music from Puerto Rico "Rafael Cepeda." His musical career is filled with performances from Symphony Orchestras, notable Salsa Orchestras in Puerto Rico and his Military Music Career as an Enlisted Bandmaster for the United States Navy. Manny's education is vast. A charter High School in Puerto Rico with academic and music instruction, the Conservatory of Music of Pablo Casals in Puerto Rico, and a scholarship to The National Music Camp "Interlochen" in Michigan. Manny is also a decorated veteran of the US Navy. He serve 31 years honorably and retired as a Master Chief Musician in 2004. While in the US Navy Music Program he lead band such as "The Navy Show Band, The US Navy Steel Band and was the principal Timpanist for the US Navy Band in Washington DC for two tours." Manny has travelled the world as a musician performing in South America, Africa, Europe and the Caribbean. He currently teaches music fundamentals in California's Grossmont College. His goal is to win a Latin Grammy with his new CD Padre Querido and by the sounds of the CD, he's on his way to greatness!
