简介
Dorasel Biography Scarface, The Geto Boys, 8ball & MJG, Yukmouth, Master P, Roy Jones Jr, and Tech n9ne have one thing in common. They have all collaborated with 5th ward legend Dorasel. Dorasel is the true definition of keeping it real. He is not like your typical rapper that raps about going to jail, selling drugs and going through constant struggles and not actually doing it. Dorasel has been there and done that. He was a young man that left prison and in one week signed with down south giant Rap-A-Lot Records. Before the ink would dry on his contract, he was collaborating with legends and was featured on the Realest Niggaz Down South Compilation which had features from Ludacris, Scarface, Cash Money Records, Mystikal, and many more. He easily outshined all the artists on the compialtion and his buzz was growing stronger and stronger by the day. He had a buzz that could be compared to a pre-Get Rich Or Die Trying 50 Cent and doing more features than Lil wayne, Akon, or Bun B. He WAS the future of Rap-A-Lot. His album features would have A+ producers 7 (Murder Inc), Mr. Lee (Rap-a-lot), Mike Dean (Rap-A-Lot) Ervin "EP" Pope (The Games) and several others. He had a video “Get Ready” that introduced him to the world and got regular rotation on channels like BET, MTV, and other outlets. After several release dates his album “Unleash The Beast” finally dropped. When his album was released he got hardly any promotion due to the split between Rap-a-Lot and Virgin Records. Despite the little promotion the album went to sell thousands of units off the strength of his grind. After the album dropped, Dorasel asked to be released from Rap-A-Lot and went back to the indie grind. He caught another case but now he is back. Still a member of Yukmouth’s group The Regime, has just released a new EP, started his own label “Stone Monkey Records” and is doing shows with Twista, Youngbloodz, Lil Boosie, E-40, Yukmouth and several other big named artists. As usual Dorasel is delivering his tough rhymes on his new EP entitled “Real Talk”. He will also be part of the upcoming Regime LP “Regime Life”.
