简介
Little robin was the first song written by singer songwriter Shanti lane, whilst hitching to Melbourne in 2013. Lost by a river some where in the south and listening to the wanderings of a random hippie man, she found herself with a guitar and a growing fascination for the little creatures who were flitting about, little robin is inspired by festival times and young love, the freedom of being a spirit fresh from home with an open mind on a road to nowhere. Mother is perhaps a song of grief and reflection. It recognises that the young are foolish and though they have been offered the world and have been given every opportunity sometimes all they want is nothing, to throw away that which defined them and be reborn. For those mothers who have had their hearts broken by their own children and need them sewn again, and for those souls who were given life but never wanted it. Reflections was a bit of fun a dark folk peace perhaps with hints of anger and a punk recklessness. life is just a reflection of our perspective and our appreciations, we are just reflections of each other. This Ep was recorded in 2014 with a band that was formed wrote songs and then broke up all in the matter of 5 months. The studio was sweet and wooden and nestled in the forests of warrandyte victoria. It was a lot of fun and a sweet slice of life.
