A shy young girl who took the world in through her eyes and experience is now able to tell her own story through a well-shaped lens also known as her pen. Tori is heavily influenced by the seventies, dating her first musical memory to hearing Stevie Wonder on the radio. Her mother, a founding member of the group “Funkafied” (which later became known as “Midnight Starr”), travelled with Tori throughout her career. Little did Tori know, those moments spent peeking onto stage would prepare her for her chosen career. While Tori is still developing as an artist, she is influenced by an array of women with powerful voices and even stronger message sin their music. Lauryn Hill to Corrine Bailey Rae, Beyonce, Tamia, Sade, Miki Howard, and Phillis Hyman top the list. If Tori had one wish though, it would be to have as much grace and style as the legendary Lena Horne. Since realizing her talent, Tori has immersed herself in the growing Bay Area music scene working with many industry notables and limelight hopefuls. Humbled by the opportunity to share her gift with the world, Tori performs at various community events as well as every Sunday at her home church. Not just a singer, Tori Quinn proves her worth by pouring her heart out through her pen as a songwriter. With the ability to write in different genres including but not limited to hip-hop, R&B, dance and gospel Tori Quinn sets herself apart as a serious competitor among the pretty girls who can hum a tune. Juggling writing, recording and performing Tori hopes to hear her songs on major radio, in movies and commercials. Now, after teaming up with Run Amuk Productions, that goal seems more attainable than ever.
