Bach Breeze is what it is - an organic offspring of the original Bach Prelude in G for cello, driven by the rhythmic energy of world drums over lots of textural layers of cello song. :) When producer Greg Cannava approached me about doing a single I was not sure how to respond. (With Yo-yo Ma and others out there, who needs to hear me play another "classical" piece?) But since I do a lot of improvising with singer/songwriters, I began to imagine what it would be like to play Bach the way that I've really always heard and felt it in my heart. All of a sudden I got an incredible download of ideas flooding into my head! This single is the result of that moment of realization that I was free to play whatever I wanted, however I wanted to play it. My friends love it, I love it, and we're all happy. Hope you are able to pick up on the sheer joy that I experience when I play the cello. We've got 2 more songs coming (just written) and at least 2 more (just waiting to be written.) So stay tuned!!
