简介
Freedom Riders mark the debut album of pianist, composer Willerm Delisfort. From the heavy Afro groove of Son of Afrika, to the lyrical song of "Without A Home", Willerm Delisfort lays out his story for the world to hear. In dedication of his past, present, and future, Willerm expresses thru song the struggle of his ancestors. With the self title "Freedom Riders" trumpeter Marquis Hill, and guitarist Larry Brown Jr. convey the feeling of the first riders on May 4, 1961 when seven blacks and six whites left Washington, D.C., on two public buses bound for the Deep South. But such is life without any mayhem to compare with you can never appreciate the peace when it comes along as Saxophonist Patrick Terbrack depicts with a big wholeness of sound thru his instrument the melody of success when the Interstate Commerce Commission issued rules prohibiting segregated transportation facilities.
