简介
JD began his interest in music very early, playing the drums for many years. In addition, his mother, a piano teacher, began giving him piano lessons at age 5. JD also plays trumpet and sings with powerful emotion. JD has been a professional musician for over 15 years and has performed many concerts with a variety of bands including Hot Stuff, ABBA Explosion, and Schaffner. He is well known in Germany for his entertaining stage performances. JD also had a collaboration in 2002, “I Still Can Hear Your Voice”, with violin virtuoso and international star, Vanessa Mae. As a producer, JD was involved with the remix for “The Sparks”, which won him a gold record. As a songwriter, JD writes lyrics from the heart and integrates corresponding melodies into sophisticated chord structures, evoking the same emotions for the listener. As an engineer, JD mixed and mastered all of the tracks for “In My Dreams”. In short, JD’s music is powerful and memorable and he has the talent and experience to bring it to life on stage. He is looking forward to a North American tour in the very near future to expand his fan base beyond Europe. Independent review by C.W. Ross @ CW's Place Artist: JD Wood Title: In My Dreams Website: http://www.bluemusepublishing.com/JD_WOOD Style: AC/ Singer Songwriter/ Pop Rating: 8.5 out of 10 By C.W. Ross In late 2008 JD Wood’s music was discovered by Blue Muse Publishing and on January 2009 they honored him with their, ‘Best Songwriter 2008′ award. They also signed him and work begun on his first musical project resulting in the album, In My Dreams, that has a March 15, 2009 scheduled release date. As you listen to Wood’s music you’ll hear the many different style elements found in each of the songs. Everything from adult contemporary, singer-songwriter, and jazz, to pop and rock can be found in them. Wood’s excellent piano playing and vocals that are passion filled and come across as from the heart, with a real honesty to them, drive the songs. The main theme found in the songs is that of love and relationships and all of the many different forms that can take from love found and love lost, to love lost and then re-found again. My favorite songs from In My Dreams are, “Come and Tell,” with its funky beginning guitar and drums parts. “Time is Ticking,” that starts out with the sound of a clock ticking that’s quickly joined by a lively electric guitar. This song is also the most up-tempo song found on the release with its classic rock sound. Last, but not least, is “I Am Strong,” a piano lead pop edged song that features a nice steady drumbeat. Thanks to the well thought out song construction and arrangements this album has that little bit extra that pushes it to the next level of quality music. As I listened to In My Dreams I kept saying to myself, ‘that’s interesting, that’s different.’ With In My Dreams JD Wood comes out of the starting gate at full speed and shows that he has the musical talent to go as far as he wants with it.
