Staz was born in Kharkov, USSR. He has always loved music, and in 2004 he did his first rhyme. He started out recording freestyle rhymes with his brother, and his interest for music grew and grew. In 2009, Staz first promo video came out, with Malik aka Silk E, from The Outhere Brothers. In late 2009 Staz joined the Euro-Rap project "Legends & Diamonds" and was featured on 2 lead singles for the mentioned project: "Change The World" (featuring Butch Mosby of the 1990's rap band "Black Attack") and "The Thing Called Love" (featuring Mike Dalien from German rap & r&b pioneer duo "Down Low"). The singles had the radio airplay and TV rotation in Germany and Poland and were released as CD's. This was the moment when a CD featuring Staz got placed in German stores next to Rihanna or Michael Jackson albums. After dropping a successful solo mixtape "Is This Me" in July 2010 he had hundreds of thousands of views and listens all over the net, selling more than 2 000 mp3 copies with no promotion. These results proved that Staz became the most promising indie MC in the whole former USSR area. The album featured the rising r&b superstar John Michael, "Soundclick" host singer Maskerade, late Tommy Boz and his band "StreetBangaz", Haz, Siko. All beats were produced by the magnificent Kevin Touw of "Scarecrow Beats". "I never said i will become the best rapper or the best musician or whatever, but i will surely keep on bringing good music in this crazy world" - Staz said in his first radio interview on Capital FM 101.0. In 2011 Staz started was featured on a single featuring Eni Koci the Albanian r&b princess. Their song "Nobody Else" was seen on Youtube more than a million times and got hundreds of thousands of downloads. "Nobody Else" had a heavy TV and radio rotation in Albania which made an army of Albanian supporters to join Staz's social networking accounts. In early 2012 a new project named "Lunar" was launched. The project consists of Staz, singer Danny Morton and producer Martin Silence. The first single named "Give Me The Stars" was released by Polish famous DJ Hazel in summer 2012 and received about half a million views on Youtube and thousands of downloads and mp3 sales. The mentioned track was featured in dozens of club compilation albums, had radio and TV rotation in Poland and got into Poland Club Charts Top 10. In October 2012 Staz was featured in an album by Latvian superstar duo Rassell & Sabine Berezina. The song "Just Say" featuring also John Michael is the only English song on the album. "Just Say" is the second song on the CD, going right after Rassell's smash hit "Dzivo Brīvi" which was the most played Latvian song in 2012. Having collaborated with tens of artists from Australia to Vietnam Staz really shows the possibilities to spread the good music with the help of the internet.
