I've often felt that in music, it's not just the notes you play, it's the notes you don't play, and saying this, Scott's cd is tightly written, played and produced, with just the right amount of musical content. McDavid competently takes on the role of "one man band" performing all the instruments here, with the exception of some guitar overdubs, and seamlessly puts all the pieces of the puzzle in the proper places. By saying that, minimal processing is involved because McDavid is just that good of a player/performer.
