They\'ll blame this on their new quick-tempoed drummer Chris Clawson, but they don\'t hate him for it-they like it this way. Their music, at lesser decibles, is slippery in its frantic forward propulsion. Guitarist Veronica Cruz cranks out that swaying Gibson sheen Fugazi used to crinkle up and shake the sh*t out of, while Ojeda seems to be trying to fight it with the blasts she pumps from her Roland (her voice has enough range to ride the styles and stay on for changes that threaten teh finer parts of the aural cavity). Laws is a well-traveled musician who not only owns Descendants and Fela Kuti albums, but he\'s also played in bands that sounded like them.
