Jordi's eclectic choice of instruments thrives in her folk / pop love songs which celebrate life and spirituality. Currently Jordi Rosen is working with a more electronic sound with beats on her Casio! Her 2001 debut CD entitled Madame Xavier has been described by critics as "ethereal, sweet illustrious sounds brimming with pop passion, evoking tender reminiscence in the listener." Her second CD entitled Lotus follows in her folk / pop tradition. Jordi was nominated as best signer/songwriter from Montreal's M.I.M.I. awards in 2001, and has gained much airplay on radio stations nationwide and a few European cities. She has performed with artists such as, Antony and the Johnsons, Rufus Wainwright, Annabelle Chvostek and Godspeedyou!blackemperor. Jordi has also shared the stage with The The, Hashimoto, Hayden, Bob Wiseman, and Martha Wainwright. Jordi has also played at several benefits such as the McGill Daily, Women Centers, Divers-Cites and The Gilda Radner Foundation. Jordi has worked with an all female ensemble comprised of Joellen Housego on fiddle, Lisa Gamble on junk percussion, Carrie Haber on cello and Annabelle Chvostek on guitar and tambourine. Together they create beautiful vocal harmonies filled with a cabaret-esque essence. A majority of Jordi's songs stem from her intuitive abilities. She has been a professional Tarot card reader and channeller for many years.
