TWICE!!" -Darcy's Dad Widely considered to be one of Canada’s fastest rising stars with his signature approach of high-energy yet laid-back style, Darcy Michael’s stand up delivers jam-packed comedy to an equally energized audience. Darcy Michael starred in CTV’s Spun Out alongside Dave Foley. In June 2015 CTV & Project 10 Productions announced a deal to develop “Darcy,” a multi-cam sitcom based on Darcy Michael’s life and stand up. Pegged by the Montreal Gazette as one of their favourites at the prestigious Just for Laughs Festival, Darcy has been nominated twice for a Canadian Comedy Award. His edgy but personable approach has won him numerous appearances at the Just for Laughs Festival, Global Comedy Festival, Comedy Network’s Match Game, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and regular appearances on CBC Radio’s ‘The Debaters.‘ Darcy most recently opened for Russell Peters at Rogers Arena in Vancouver after becoming a finalist in the national XM Top Comic Competition. In late 2014 he was chosen after an international search by NBC as a finalist for the NBC’s Stand Up for Diversity show, which took place in Los Angeles. Other exciting projects on the horizon for Darcy includes the upcoming films “Rapturepalooza”, a hilarious comedy starring Craig Robinson, and the sequel to the Christmas classic “A Christmas Story.” Darcy has appeared in many television series and movies including “Gay Dude”, “Lloyd the Conqueror”, “End Game”, “Dairy of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules”,“Life Unexpected”, “The Assistants”, “Reaper” and “Numb.” The comedian/actor currently resides in Ladner, BC, with Jeremy, his husband of 10 years and their teenage daughter.
