"I Am With You," is a folk, folk-rock, American, and praise and worship musical exploration of the Biblical theme that God never leaves or forsakes those who believe in Jesus, who is Immanuel, "God with us." Sam's mentor, Christian music pioneer and author, Michael Card, sings multiple background parts on "So Love." Sam's cousin, Jacquelyn Judd, sings along on the chorus of "More Than A Conqueror," a song that she and Sam wrote together about her Mother's battle with cancer. Nicole Crosby lends her stunningly beautiful voice for background vocal parts on "You Are The Reason Why We're Here," "We Our Yours," and "Jesus Is-I Surrender All." The album is engineered by Nashville veteran Keith Compton and features a band made up of John Nehlig on drums, Brian Shind on Bass, Caleb Carlson on electric guitars and rhodes piano, Trey Brockman on piano and organ, Caleb Edwards of "Fireball Mail" on mandolin, Scott Brasher on accordion and strings, Keith Compton on cymbals, and Sam Judd on vocals, acoustic guitars, high string guitar, and percussion.
