Fresh from touring singing backup for Joe Walsh of the Eagles, and notching her first YouTube hit, "Smile," with more than 1.7 million views, singer/songwriter Lois Mahalia has announced her first full Christmas CD, Christmas Once Again. Lois was born in South America and didn’t move to California until she was 14. This CD hints at her eclectic upbringing as her Caribbean roots, jazz, and gospel influences find their way into these holiday classics including; I’ll Be Home for Christmas, Silent Night and Wish You a Merry Christmas. "Christmas brings out such powerful feelings and memories for so many people, there's something special that happens. I wrote Feeling Like a Kid to try to capture just a bit of that," says Lois Mahalia. "While many of the songs are traditional, I’ve put my own spin on them adding some extra fun and love to them”. Over the past two years, Mahalia toured with Joe Walsh as he promoted his first new CD in 20 years and Joe Walsh with Bob Segar for the Rock & Roll Never Forgets tour. Performances included TV shows Jimmy Kimmel Live, Good Morning America, and Crossroads on the Country Music Channel as well as concerts across the US and Canada. Lois began singing at the age of 5 on stage with her brothers in South America where she was born. She moved to the US in 1989 and continued singing in churches with her musical family. Through the years she’s performed across the US and in Italy with such greats as Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, Joe Sample, and many more.
